Site Drainage & Surface Improvements

Engineering

Construction Cost: $3.5 million

Gaston Engineering provided civil/site design and related services for a new ductile iron pipe production fabrication line at US Pipe’s Bessemer mill. Gaston Engineering’s scope included paving/drainage design; also additional surveying to locate and/or verify as-built surface features, abandoned equipment foundations and other (undocumented) underground structures, subsurface utilities, etc. US Pipe implemented a fast-track, multiple bid package approach to the mill expansion, and Gaston Engineering met an aggressive schedule which allowed early bid of Gaston Engineering’s site design as the first major bid package.
