Parking Facility and Revenue Control System

Construction

Client: Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport

Construction Cost: $2.5 million

Gaston Construction provided construction management services for the construction of the airport’s Remote Lot Parking Facility and Revenue Control System. The remote lot featured separate new entrances for long- and short-term parking, reconfiguration of the former main entrance as a shuttle bus entry/exit, and five new patron shelters throughout the lot. The project’s revenue control component consisted of a newly equipped entry/exit toll plaza that includes five new exit lanes with tollbooths for cash or credit card transactions, five express pay lanes and a new “License Plate Inventory System.”
