Location: Wetumpka, Alabama

HKW has been selected by the Alabama Historical Commission to develop a comprehensive master plan for this National Historic Landmark. Fort Toulouse-Fort Jackson is a 170 acre site located north of Montgomery in Wetumpka, where the Tallapoosa and Coosa Rivers form the Alabama River. The site includes a small visitor center , replica French fort, partially constructed American fort, picnic pavilion, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ developed campground and natural trail; the development of the site for public use including ADA accessibility, parking, visitor information, visitor services, indoor and outdoor exhibition, public safety, site operations, toilet facilities and facilities for income production through public programming.
